Entries can arrive at Ile Youth Club from 12:30pm. Charity Concert in aid of Children's Hospice South West The Minster Church, Ilminster. TA19 0DU Charity Concert in aid of Children's Hospice South West Charity concert in aid of Children's Hospice South West featuring recorded singer-songwriter and Stogumber Festival prize winner, Jemima Farey. (jemimafarey.co.uk) Jemima's prize was being the support artist for Steve Knightley at the festival. Ange Hardy has said of her singing "One to watch out for on the folk scene! With a voice like that, you scare me!"...others have said.."unique and truly amazing". Supporting the concert will be the Zembard Singers directed by Trevor Lloyd-Jones. They will sing a wide variety of songs from sacred works to well known classics by Bacharat and David, Richard Carpenter amongst others. Also supporting the concert will be the Minster Voices directed by David Sutcliffe. Their repertoire will include traditional and contemporary songs from Rodgers and Hart, Trenet and others. Guest artists will also support the evening. Interval refreshments will be available for donations. There will be a special raffle with top quality prizes. Sally is relaxing after a refreshing swin in the pool and is quite unaware that she is being watched. The myterious intruder manages to inveigle his way in; and he claims to have met her and her husband on a previous social occasion. When her husband, Mark , arrives the intruder becomes more menacing and the tension is palpable, until, at the end of the first act, the unexpected happens... There are so many twists and turns in the plot that we are on he edge of our seats with trepidation.

Victorian Evening Ilminster The Christmas festivities will officially get underway in Ilminster on Friday (November 17, 2017) when the town’s famous festive lights are switched on during the annual Victorian Evening. This event has been going on for more than 25 years and is generally acknowledged to be the best Christmas event among the market towns in South Somerset. The main festivities kick-off at 6.30pm with a Lantern Parade of over 100 lanterns.The Lantern Parade will arrive at the Market Square just before the fabulous Christmas Lights are switched on at 7pm.
